DriveCentric is a company that uses rapidly evolving technology to deliver the latest products for car dealerships. The client purchased the former Vatterott College, a 29,000-square-foot building in Sunset Hills, MO. It needed complete interior demolition and renovation to accomplish its business goals. It included removing an existing structural steel and concrete floor system to create a new atrium at the main entrance. We also removed existing masonry shear walls at the interior, which required the installation of helical piers to anchor new structural steel seismic bracing for the structure. All the existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and data systems were removed entirely, and new state-of-the-art systems are now incorporated into the building. Numerous modern technology features are integrated into this space, including a large LED screen set in the AV/Presentation wall. Contemporary, semi-open workstation "pods," a café, a break room with beautiful millwork and finishes, and a cave-like corridor give this employee-friendly atmosphere some exciting design aesthetic.
